JKPSC Rejects Candidature of Three Aspirants for Lecturer Posts
Srinagar, Jan 19: The Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission has rejected the candidature of three aspirants for the post of Lecturer Education in the School Education Department after finding deficiencies and invalidity in the documents submitted by them.
According to an official notice issued by the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission, the candidates had earlier been directed through a notice dated December 23, 2025, to submit deficient or valid documents within seven days, failing which their candidature was liable to be rejected without any further notice.
The candidates whose candidature has been rejected include Abdul Majid, Om Parkash, and Amir Iqbal. The notice said that while Abdul Majid and Om Parkash submitted documents in response to the earlier notice, Amir Iqbal failed to submit the requisite document within the stipulated time.
Upon scrutiny, the Commission found that the certificates submitted by Abdul Majid and Om Parkash were either not valid or were not within the cut off date prescribed in the advertisement notification for the post. In the case of Amir Iqbal, the Commission noted that he did not produce the EWS category certificate in the prescribed format under the Reservation Rules of the Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory.
The notice further stated that Om Parkash also failed to submit a valid EWS category certificate in the prescribed format. In Abdul Majid’s case, the Commission observed that the first ST category certificate submitted by him was issued on April 8, 2024 and was conditional for appointments in posts of the Government of India. Another ST category certificate produced by him was issued on December 25, 2025, which was after the cut off date, rendering it invalid for consideration.
In view of these deficiencies, the Commission said the candidature of all three candidates stands rejected for the post of Lecturer Education in the School Education Department.
The notice has been issued by the JKPSC office at Resham Ghar Colony, Bakshi Nagar, Jammu, with copies forwarded to concerned authorities for information.
