BANIHAL, Jan 27: Four persons were killed in a major road mishap near Sharda Mata on the Jammu–Srinagar National Highway in Udhampur district on Tuesday.
According to reports, a bus en route to Udhampur, allegedly being driven at a high speed, hit a motorcycle near the accident spot. The impact proved fatal for both the motorcycle rider and the pillion rider, who died on the spot
Moments later, the same bus struck two mechanics who were repairing a Mahindra load carrier parked along the roadside. Both sustained fatal injuries and died on the spot.
Police rushed to the scene immediately after the incident and completed the necessary legal formalities. The bodies were shifted for medico-legal examination. Further details are awaited.
